What does features does Koffice give you over Open Office and vice versa. I have heard that Koffice is not compatible with MS Office. If so why would anyone want to use it over Open Office?

Beside of OpenOfficeOrg, there is another nice office suite software called KOffice. This KOffice is now reached 1.6.3 version. This free office suite for Linux comes with better GUI and more stable compared to previous version.
Your hard-working KOffice team have been coding away over the last couple of months and the resulting KOffice 2.1.1 is now available. This is a bugfix release and the changelog shows that it improves every app in the suite.
Appearances to the contrary, OpenOffice.org and its various offshoots aren't the only choices available to you in terms of full-scale, cross-platform open source office suites. I'm using Libre-Office, and I've never used KOffice. I'd like to purge KOffice from my systems. Is it possible to get rid of KOffice while keeping the KDE Desktop? I've tried to remove various packages with yum but I can't seem to find the right packages to remove.
Have tried to open documents from emails sent from Windows systems using MS Office and have had the document freeze on opening or open showing nothing in any fields. Is compatibility with MS Office Doc files just not possible in Libre Office or Open Office?
