I'm thinking about buying a Kinect, but I'm not sure if I should buy Kinect for Windows, or Kinect XBox360.

I have searched all over the Internet and I as far as I can tell there are very few hardware differences.

Microsoft has rolled out a notable update to its Kinect for Windows SDK today, while also announcing the availability of the Kinect for Windows sensor in China.

Kinect SDK koming soon 2 years 6 weeks ago

A fair few people have been fiddling with the Kinect since it was launched, finding ways of putting it to work with hardware other than the Xbox 360. Microsoft is now preparing to release an official Kinect for Windows SDK.

Hi, newbie here. i have been reading for a while on this forum, i was using Nokia E7 for my work purposes, and interested to know if photon Q can replace it. i like QWERTY device anyway.

Microsoft has released a Kinect for Windows software development kit - but it's only for non-commercial use at this stage.
