I'm rooted using go launcher and c Google play. Every now and then, Google part likes to update my kindle app, which screws up the registration of my local drm Amazon purchased books. Sooooo i have to uninstall the updates to my kindle app, uncheck (again) update automatically, deregister my kindle fire, re register, and i can then access my books as well as my documents that I'd emailed myself.

Amazon just launched the Send to Kindle button, which clips Web content and saves it to Kindle readers and apps, for Web developers and WordPress bloggers. The button is also now available on The Washington Post, TIME, and Boing Boing.
I have a bunch of Kindle Books I've gotten from Amazon.com but I can't stand the Kindle App as there's no way to organize books at all.
Is there any alternate apps that can read in the Kindle Books but would let me organize them into folders or something?
Thanks.
I was hoping that it would be possible to have the app downloaded from the Amazon Android app store, however it is not available there.

Earlier yesterday i carried out the rooting procedure that was outlined on Liliputing using the kindle fire utility, the kindle was shown as online, the rooting procedure went without a hitch, i then went to the extras section and installed google play.
I then unplugged the device from my computer and restarted it as described.

I've successfully rooted my 1st gen Kindle Fire, and I'm mostly happy with how everything is working. The only problem I'm having is that now that it's rooted I'm no longer able to access books purchased from Amazon through the Kindle app as the device will no longer register. Is there any way around this, or do you forfeit the Kindle app for the joys of everything else when rooting?
