The Kindle Fire 2 is now a part of the 7" Kindle Fire HD forum.
In terms of software, the Kindle Fire 2 is much closer to the 7" Kindle Fire HD than the original Kindle Fire. The two are similarly equipped with locked bootloaders, run ICS and share the same rooting method. Consequently, the KF2 has now been made a part of this 7" KF HD forum.
You generally don’t need a reason to slash prices, but the recent FAA ruling allowing the use of personal electronics during takeoff and landing has inspired Amazon to drop the Kindle Fire HD and the Kindle Fire HDX by 15% for today only.
The Kindle Fire HD is normally $139, but it’s $118 after the discount. If you would rather grab the HDX, it’s priced at $195, a $34 savings.
Amazon has been working on making its Kindle Fire lineup available all over the globe, and today they’re continuing on the warpath by releasing the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ in Canadian markets, although with a slight caveat. Due to licensing restrictions, these Kindle Fire models will not have access to Amazon’s instant streaming service.
Last night, i was using the Kindle Fire First Aide to restore my kindle fire hd to 7.2.3. After it downloaded the files, it failed on one when flashing. All was fine though. I rebooted back to normal mode and it booted fine, i was using the Kinology rom. I then factory resetted my kindle and after rebooting, it now bootloops all the time.
I've attempted to root my kindle fire with the kindle fire utility and it wasn't 100% successful.
Im stuck on the kindle fire screen where it's booting up and it's on an endless cycle whether
plugged into the computer, or charging through the outlet. It's also completely unrecognized
when I do plug it into my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated to unbrick it.
