I'm having 2 issues with kickstart for Fedora 19 that I don't seem to be able to resolve:
1) The hostname is NOT being set in the installation even though I DO have the --hostname listed in the kickstart file as follows:
network --bootproto=static --device=p6p1 --gateway=192.168.x.1 --hostname=slwfed005.slwdomain --ip=192.168.x.xx --nameserver=192.168.x.1 --netmask=255.255.255.0 --ipv6=auto -
After managing to get a Fedora ISO to rebuild successfully (for a USB stick) after adding a kickstart file (http://serverfault.com/questions/548405/), I now have an issue with locating the kickstart file on the USB media.
When this is done from a CDROM you can simply kickckstart by adding this parameter to boot:
This will kickstart (providing the kickstart file is named ks.cfg a
I would like to install centos through kickstart method.
I had dhcp configured in my server system, and mounted the cd to the html folder, but when i am giving the kickstart file link in boot menu to the client system, it says installation tree not found.
When i am giving the mounted cd link of centos in html folder link it starts the installation and asks normally.
So what should i do to start ki
I am trying to install fedora 10 kickstart on my server.
But I can't, because my kickstart installation hangs at post install scripts.
It is not showing any message & stopped.
What could be the problem in this case.
