Keyboard dead at GRUB and 11.2 Install screen

http://forums.opensuse.org – Hello, I want to upgrade a machine to 11.2 that normally does not have anything attached to it (keyboard, mouse or screen). In order to upgrade it, I thought I would connect a keyboard, mouse & screen, then just do a network install. The keyboard works on the BIOS flash screen and BIOS menus. However it does not work when GRUB displays, or when I start the 11.2 install. It then works again once SUSE starts up. Questions: 1. What is going on here? It seems there is nothing wrong with the keyboard or motherboard or even BIOS. 2. Is there a way to do the 11.2 install/upgrade (from 10.3) without having to add peripherals? The MB is a Gigabyte S-Series. The keyboard connects by USB. Can't think what else would be pertinent. Thanks ... (Distributions)
