I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit on a Dell M1330. I've been having issues with the keyboard, touchpad and media buttons. Between 1 and 10 seconds after I start typing something, the webcam light will blink and the touchpad stops working. From then on, the media buttons won't work at all.
My girlfriend has a Samsung NC20 laptop/netbook(/whatever), running Ubuntu 10.10. When she attached a Dell monitor her laptop touchpad stopped working.
I have an Asus laptop running Linux that I leave running for several weeks at a time. I never put it in hibernate or suspend, I only close the lid when I'm not using it. After a few days or weeks of running, the touchpad and keyboard will Both lock up (at the same time) for no apparent reason.
I can scroll with with my touchpad and my buttons below touchpad works but I can't double tap on my touchpad.
If I use the safe then it works. This means touchpad functions correctly.
Any ideas please to solve the problem?
I'm trying out the Touchpad as an RDP client for my work Windows machine. With a Bluetooth keyboard and iTap RDP, it works very well, but one thing that's annoying is that Android/ICS traps certain key combinations instead of sending them through to Windows, e.g., ALT+TAB (Symbol+Tab on the HP Touchpad BT keyboard) and WIN+TAB (Home+Tab on the HP keyboard).
Greetings,
Recently I updated to kernel 3.2.0-31 and touchpad and wireless device is no longer recognized. Keyboard still works. Haven't tested with a external mouse because I don't have one. Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L745-S4210. Anyone else has experienced this?
Rolled back to 3.2.0-29 and touchpad works again but wireless device randomly works. Up to .0.-29 update everything worked fine.

I have a keyboard with a built-in touchpad that I often use with my laptop, but while the laptop's built-in touchpad does support scrolling by stroking the right-hand edge of the touchpad, the touchpad on the external keyboard does not. Is there any way to add this functionality? Or better yet, is there any way to emulate the two-finger scrolling (vertical and horizontal) as on the Mac?
Hello all.
I am using Touchpad-Indicator to disable the touchpad when an external USB mouse is plugged in and it works fine for that.
But when the external mouse is not plugged in, I occasionally navigate (mainly in Dolphin which ignores my back/forward buttons of the mouse) with the keyboard, ie alt+left/up, etc and that makes the Touchpad-Indicator to disable the touchpad and the only way
