Kernel crash and audio level problems

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi from dark, cold germany! I'm trying Fedora 12 LiveCD now. Looks nice, but i got two problems so far 1 - When the desktop, appeared first time there were two messages about kernel crashes. I tried to send these messages, but there was a problem with Bugzilla (login?). Then the messages vanished from the list. My machine has Athon 1600+ CPU with 512MB RAM. 2 - i'm hearing now netradio wAbsolute Calssic Rock (Broadband) with Rythmbox. But when i try to change the audio level either with the control in the toolbar or within Rythmbox there is loud static random noise. It is a so loud noise that i am afraid the desktop audio speakers will be damaged. the soundcard is a Soundblaster Live! Platinium. Drivers/Mixers are the default ones (no change). I am running OpenBSD/i386 5.1 on a 5 year old laptop. The speakers and headphone port work, but the headphone port is a little loose so I am trying to install an external USB sound card (Fiio E17 USB DAC). No problems using it on Windows.

The device is detected and I created a node for it in /dev with sh /dev/MAKEDEV audio1, then linked the rest of the devices to point to the new sound card.

When I'm not playing any audio then my subwoofer makes a lot of noise. I'm using a creative XFI Extreme gamer audio card to connect my bose 321 system by spdif.

When I'm in XBMC I don't have any problem.

when I boot my desktop, it's making a loud noise during the first stages of the boot(probably the POST).

It's a noise like a fan that isn't running smoothly, or a HDD with serious problems. But when GRUB appears, the noise becomes more silent, when gdm is loaded the noise is completely gone, and I never hear it again, not even under heavy io or cpu/gpu load.

Any audio/video player I tried has this "behavior": when I increase the audio level it's increasing the master audio level as well. But when I decrease the audio level, the master level stays at 100%.

I have an Acer Travelmate 5310 with SuSE11.1 and a broadcom 4311 wireless card. Regularly, the contact between laptop and wireless router breaks down temporarily (for a minute or so) and then it recovers. Hi , few hours ago i was testing my XPlay on big home cinema speakers and noticed that audio output level is realy low. I went to my friend and compared it with Motorola Atrix 4g and it is twice louder than my XP, i remember that on stock rom without all that Xperia S Goodies (stock player , stock audio effects etc ) it was loud same as my friends Atrix.

Tested over cifs, sshfs, nfs: not only it seems to crash when reading large media directories (like 1.000 folders), but it also crashes quite regularly after about 8 hours when playing large queues.

When I click on the audio icon at the top right corner and slide the bar to change the audio level, another bar appears at the same location.This is a bit confusing.  Any idea? Thanks in advance.
