I am just interested to know your thoughts about what kernel would be best to use on an AMD quad core phenom configuration. I currently use 3.5.4 with this, which was listed on a site as being stable, however, users in another forum say that 3.4 is the latest stable kernel. Is 3.5.4 considered to be stable? Is this the best kernel to use on an AMD64 based system?
I probably should have checked first,,because while Im typing this,,the new kernel is downloading onto my 12.04 Ubuntu,,just wanted to make sure its a stable kernel with no problems?
Thanks ahead!!

Linux Kernel Manual Pages
By Erik Schweigert
Having the ability to lookup how a kernel function works is very handy when writing your own device driver or any kernel module. Unfortunately you cannot just apt-get install kernel-manpages. Well wouldn’t that be nice! To get your kernel manual pages for a specific kernel you can download the kernel source and execute a few choice commands.
