Hello all,The goal is to configure two separate screens whith one Xorg so i think i must have one server layout, two devices, two screens and two monitors is it true ?
With my MX 440, If I use the "nv" driver, then text is clear, and the refresh rate is 60.If I use the "nvidia" driver, then I can use GLX, but the refresh rate is 50, and the text is slightly blurrier. My monitor looks best at 60 hz, can anyone help me get "nvidia" driver to work at 60 hz?
I have set-up my Linux box but it is running it at 1600 x 1200 when my screen can handle 1920 x 1080.
but when i set it too this some pixels fall off the screen. So how do i edit my xorg.conf to be able to output 1080 in my 32 inch screen. i will post my xorg.conf
yes i have looked but I'm a new Linux user and would appreciate any help i can get.
I used envy to install the nVidia restricted driver on my laptop (running Hardy) in an attempt to get dual monitors working. When I rebooted with the system docked after installing the driver, I got a black screen. When I rebooted again with the laptop un-docked, everything works fine.
I've had a working desktop even running compiz just before I updated today. Anyway, after the reboot which was required after my update, I got a notification in the boot message which says:

I have just installed Fedora 12 (64 bit), and I'm having troubles getting it working on my widescreen LCD TV. Before I installed the nvidia driver, it worked fine. After I installed the nvidia driver, it showed output on the screen until it gets to the logon screen (I never actually see the logon screen), where it goes black.
Running Slackware 13.37 original without updates.
Need to replace my trackball with optical mouse temporarily.
There is no xf86config file anylonger but xorg.conf file is produced automatically.
I see 2 "xorg.conf" files which can be and were modified on installation:
1) /etc/X11/xorg.conf-vesa and 2) /root/xorg.conf.new.
The descriptions for the mouse are:
