There was a time I was good at this. All I can do now is just trip my flash counter or brick my devices.
Download the file.
Unzip
Set the device in download mode (yes, my drivers work)
Run odin
Point the PDA to the tar file.
Flash. The thing reboots, odin says pass!
Try to boot into recovery and only get the stock recovery.
I have done this several times now. And same thing.
I have an ATRIX 4G 2.3.4 AT&T 4.5.91. It was rooted at one time but somehow lost its root. I also disabled my BlurUpdater.apk when the phone was rooted to avoid update messages. I am unable to enable the BlurUpdater because I am no longer rooted.

I have been away for 10 days and on my return today I did an update which included kernel 3.6.9 PAE and a grub2 update amongst others. After rebooting to the new kernel I find my display which was working previously now comes up with desktop not aligned, it starts in the middle of my display and wraps around, ie shifted about 50% to the right (if that explains it - I'm not sure).
Hey guys, so I just found out the update was available from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 and I really want the update for the multi-screen enhancements such as youtube and chrome being added to the mix. I, however, have rooted my phone and am unsure how to un-root it in order to receive the update.
Hey so when I update my phone from a nightly from August to a nightly in September I keep on getting random force reboots. I managed to flash to the experimental M1 nightly and i'm stable there, but anything past that and I get force reboots (my phone randomly shuts off).
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I just successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using Odin and CWM Recovery.
This is exactly what I did:
- D/L Odin 3.04 and "cwm6-root-note2.tar" and saved them to my Desktop
- Extracted Odin and started the program
- Set my Note 2 to USB Debugging
- Restarted the Note 2 in "Downloading Mode" by holding down Volume Down, Home & Power buttons simultaneous
Having some issues with my Samsun Stellar... I couldn't load the 4.1.2 JB Update from Verizon on my rooted Stellar... So I tried to first 1) un-root then 2) flash back to the stock ROM then update. Option 1 didn't work, but Option 2 did.... Odin to stock rom, 1 small OTA update, then the JB OTA... worked like a charm. But once I got to JB, I couldn't re-root my phone.
Hey all i have my Verizon Galaxy Nexus rooted using the WAG's rootkit. But every few minutes the phone asks me to update (update version ICL53F). When i tell it to update it reboots and shows an Android on its back with a "!" yellow triangle.
So i go into CW and clear the catch and try it again.
