http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I recently installed Fedora 11 64-bit on an intel x86-64 system, and I can't seem to get KDE to start. I installed Xorg and KDE from the repos, and I can start the X server just fine, but I don't get anything out of KDE. After logging in as root and running startx, I get a dark screen. It usually has a few random red pixels at the top, and several seconds later it usually puts a punch of horizontal white bars across the screen, with random red and green pixels in between. I have specified the horizontal sync rate and vertical refresh rate of my monitor in xorg.conf. At this point I'm just flat out of ideas to try. Any help is greatly appreciated. (HowTos)
