The Linux Foundation posted a calendar of its 2012 conferences, starting with the Android Builders Summit Feb. 13-14, co-located in Silicon Valley with the Embedded Linux Conference, Feb. 15-17. The Linux Kernel Summit will be held Aug. 26-28 in San Diego, where it will be co-located with the larger LinuxCon North America event and the Linux Plumbers Conference, both held Aug. 29-31....
As you all already know, the LinuxCon Europe 2012 event opened its gates to the Linux public on Monday, November 5. Below we've posted pictures from the first day of the event, courtesy of The Linux Foundation.
The event started with keynotes from Canonical's Mark Shuttleworth, Red Hat's Brian Stevens, Evernote's Dave Engbergand LWN.net's editor, Jon Corbet.
Xen.org, home of the open source Xen hypervisor, today announced the final speaker line-up and agenda for its annual Xen Summit North America conference. The event will be held, August 27-28 in San Diego, California and is co-located with CloudOpen and LinuxCon North America.

Thanks for making this year’s plumbers conference such an enjoyable event. Next year, we’re planning to co-locate Plumbers with the Kernel Summit and LinuxCon in San Diego from 29-31 August. The current plan is that Plumbers and LinuxCon would run as parallel but separate events. To accommodate the parallelism, we’re still planning on keeping the numbers for Plumbers down to 30

Some highlights include a triple-header in San Diego in August: LinuxCon North America, Linux Plumbers Conference and Linux Kernel Summit. Someone better warn San Diego natives that we're taking over their city this summer.
The LinuxCon and CloudOpen 2012 conference held in San Diego last week were an epic success. Three days of keynotes and technical sessions from leaders in Linux, open source technologies and cloud computing sparked new conversations online in the days during and after the event.
LinuxCon 2012 was off to a great start in San Diego Tuesday with a full day of Linux training and the Linux Kernel Summit.
