my question is how can I upload my source package ( I already got the .sources file) over the active ftp method with dput to my launchpad ppa?
Ubuntu has gained a lot of popularity in last few years – and not just among the geeks but also among the common users. This post is all about the cooking applications available for Ubuntu or other GNU/Linux distributions (e.g ubuntu derivatives such as Linux Mint or RPM distributions such as Fedora) – because if cooking is your favorite hobby then you may need some apps for managing

Even when I enable the hidden files option, cannot see them. I close the file manager and reopen the folder again, no luck. The only way I see the files is move the files to another folder through terminal. Then I can see them.
My Eee 900 running native Xandros has a 8G Sd card installed. Each time I boot I am asked to confirm what I want to use to read the card, File Manager, Music Manager of Photo Manager. Is there any way of skipping this step or making the use of File Manager a default? It's an annoyance rather than a serious fault, but annoyances can be just as troublesome!
I really want to like Dolphin. It seems like it's very versatile as a file manager and would work great once I learn how to take advantage of it.
But I can't, it keeps crashing!
Is there an equivalent of LinuxIMQs in BSD ?
From linuximq.net:
The imq device has two common usage cases:
Ingress shaping:
With linux only egress shaping is possible (except for the ingress queue which can only do rate limiting). IMQ enables you to use egress qdiscs for real ingress shaping.
Shaping over multiple interfaces:
Qdiscs get attached to devices.

After one of the recent upgrades of my Debian Testing the default file manager in KDE switched from Dolphin to Konqueror for some reason. How can I switch it back?
Spare a thought for old time stalwarts like Konqueror. Many great features have been stripped out but it's still a a great file manager (and a decent browser) even if Dolphin has been promoted as the default file manager of the KDE desktop. Back in the day, Konqueror was able to handle lots of media without having to open a separate application.
