I tried several and none could make decent sound and in sync with the video.
Kazam just worked and works with gnome3 with no configuring.
The others I could not get the sound to be loud enough or it was static filled.
I think it should be the default install.
How can that be submitted as an idea?

Hello Crunchbangers! I am using for desktop recording Kazam (usual version 1.0.6-0crunchbang2 from repositories). I like this screencasterbecause it has nice interface, it's easy to use and there is no problem recording sound (like with xvidcap). However, sometimes then I want to stop recording (or pause recording) it freezes up. So I have to shut it down.
Hi,I'm trying to install Kazam using the PKGBUILD 'kazam-git' or 'kazam' found in the Aur repo. After solving a couple of issues with the dependencies, I manage to install it correctly.
Kazam screencaster lets you record on-screen action into a video file. Its features include a well designed interface, ability to record two audio channels, built-in support for volume adjustments and delay timer.
I want to record my desktop activity. Before ı could use kazam. but after a while kazam started to give an error.
I have already used recordmydesktop, xvidcap and kazam. My sound working fine with other audio or videos.
xvidcap doesn't record sound at all. I have tried many ways. If I try as: 'padsp xvidcap', it also gives error, like: /dev/dsp cannot found or missing. I have changed it to /dev/snd.
