http://forums.opensuse.org – Hi folks, I am not new to Suse or Linux, but I am not that great with either as well. I installed Suse 11 a while back with KDE 3.5 and somewhere along the line the updater gave me Kate for KDE4 which has been working fine until now. Last night some KDE specific updates showed up in the updater (should have looked closer) and after running them Kate4 crashes instantly with a signal 11 (SIGSEGV) deal. The backtrace has nothing: Code: [?1034h(no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) [KCrash handler] #5  0xb738d07d in ?? () #6  0xb798358e in ?? () I'm not too hopeful as these types of things never do seem to get actually resolved, but I would really love to get Kate4 running again. I cannot stand KDE 4 and specifically have avoided 11.2 for that reason. This is a sort of toy LAMP box and is setup otherwise exactly how I need it to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
