Hello everyone,
I'm using openSUSE 11.3 for my laptop and Kaffeine built in as my player. But when I tried to play any files with external subtitles, there is nothing happened...
The drop-down list of subtitles is just gray and cannot be used.
So I have two questions:
(1) Can Kaffeine built in openSUSE 11.3 load subtitles automatically?
I'm running openSUSE 11.2 x64 here and after a recent update Kaffeine 1.0pre2 (and the KDE3 version) won't run at all. Kaffeine attempts to start in the background but crashes after a short while. No error messages are produced when launched from a shell.
Does anyone else have this problem ? I thought it might be an issue with the Xine library but it seems ok.
Hi. I am new to OpenSuse. I have recently installed 11.2. I am having some sound woes.
Vlc plays CDs and DVDs but Kaffeine won't. KsCD won't play CDs.
When I try to use Kaffeine to play a CD I get:
Cannot find input plugin for MRL [cdda:/]
Opening kaffeine in the terminal gives:
user@linux-kxg1:~> kaffeine
The KDE4 version of kaffeine in Fedora 12 repos, kaffeine-1.0.0.3.pre2.fc12, looks like a testing version. It misses basics like deinterlacing and aspect ratios for digital tv and minimal mode which make it not even usable for me.

Hello
I installed Kaffeine from the repos and put the firmware in /lib/firmware. I also copied the content of ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/ from another (working) distro. I have all information about channels etc but can not see or hear anything.
Does that mean, I miss some codecs?
Hey guys, I'm having an issue with MPlayer and subtitles on Oneiric. The issue is that when the subtitles are rendered, occasionally words are misspelled. It is always the same word. The misspelling can occur in the middle of a sentence, or at the end. The subtitle type is a smi file.
I like keeping a collection of my favorite TV shows and Movies along with the subtitles. For a single playback, I won't mind fixing the subtitle from the player's settings, even though its frustrating most of the times, but while making a collection, you need perfect subtitles. Finding the correct one is not an easy task and neither is editing it.
