Samsung Galaxy S III owners rejoice. It looks like Samsung is making good on that promise of an October timeline of rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III, and even a little earlier for some. Samsung has officially rolled out the update for the international Galaxy S III (GT-i9300) in Poland, available through Samsung Kies initially.

Back in July, we reported that we should all expect Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to hit the Samsung Galaxy S III sometime in Q4. It looks like Samsung is very well on that track as a leaked version of a TouchWiz based Jelly Bean ROM (XADLG4) has been spotted running on a Galaxy S III (i9300).
Over the weekend XDA forum member freeza posted information about a leaked build of Sprint’s pending Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S III devices. The leaked ROM includes Samsung’s custom TouchWiz interface. Unfortunately, it also includes a few items not quite working right like the stock browser, Google Now and some issues with the device’s gyroscope sensor.
In addition to the utter joy of the Jelly Bean update getting out to select Galaxy S III owners, Samsung has announced its latest roadmap highlighting which additional devices are slated for that buttery goodness.
