http://androidforums.com – Hello Just wondered if anyone could help. I have unrooted Galaxy S3 and have just gone to complete latest update via Kies. All was going smoothly, download to phone was complete, when error came up on PC USB device not recognised. :( Have updated the drivers via Kies but left with phone saying "Downloading Do not turn off target." Worried now about rebooting phone. Also cannot get Kies to now connect with phone. Can anyone help please? (General)

I'm from India and using Galaxy S3 now.

My phone (Galaxy S3) fails to recognize on Kies. I'm doing everything correct , but still it is not showing in Kies.

Previously it worked for me, but now its not at all.

Kies show this error message :- "Unable to connect to GT-I9300.Failed to retrieve device information."

I've installed all the drivers successfully.

I have been trying to update to JellyBean all day long with Kies. I repeatedly get to a third "Firmware upgrade progress" screen and then it gets stuck at 0% on my computer and my phone says "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" This is probably the 4th time I have tried it with the same results.

I'm trying to get the jelly bean update for my Galaxy S2 but I can't connect to kies, i'm getting the error of "your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via kies". My carrier is Bell, I updated to ICS via Kies last year.

I hope I am not repeating a thread but I couldn't find this answer anywhere. I know ICS became available a while ago but when I connect to Kies it says I have the latest firmware at 2.3. I just updated a GS3 to Jelly Bean through the same Kies so I know it is up to date and working. Without rooting is there a way to update my phone even though it says there is no update?

Ive had my s2 some 6months now and only managed to update it once, i try to update over the air, it downloads the package ok, restarts to phone, attempts to install, gets to about 50% then tells me to plug the phone into kies to update

I plug the phone into kies to update and it says theres no update, nor does it now even allow me to check for a update now kies updated itself :rolleyes:

So pretty much I'm unable to update to the lates 4.0.4 that was just released (I'm currently on stock Taiwan firmware)

1. OTA gave me this error: N7000 failed to update firmware due to network or server problem. Try software update via Settings > Software update > Update, or try usng PC kies later.

After updating with XWLSD 4.1.2 JB Stock ROM, I am unable to connect my phone with KIES.

1. Cable is original supplied with the phone 2. I uninstalled and re-installed KIES 3. It is charging in USB mode 4. Have ran KIES troubleshooting, it reinstalled the drivers, but no result 5.

Galaxy SII, GT-I9100, Android version 4.0.3, not rooted. Windows 7 Enterprise sp1 32 bit.

Until recently when I updated to Kies_2.5.0.12094_28_8 I have had no problems what so ever with my phone or Kies.

(A note, when I plug the phone to my laptop without Kies started, I can browse my phones content.
