http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I've been trying to play minecraft on Fedora, but no version of java will let me play it. I had it working when I was using lxde, but when I installed the xfce version I can't get it to work. I always get the Code: Error: Could not find or load main class message when trying to open a jar file in the terminal. I've tried the java jdk, jre, and openjdk with no luck. Any idea as to where I should start to resolve this? (HowTos)

I have the .minecraft folder in my user folder (/home/cyrex/.minecraft). The minecraft.jar file has the executable flag. The minecraft version is the 1.2.5. I have OpenJRE AND OpenJDK installed with version 1.6 and 1.7 (1.6 default).

Hello everyone. I am new to Fedora; in fact I just installed it. I was running Ubuntu and Linux Mint on my machine for awhile, and decided I would give Fedora try. I like it a lot so far. However, I have an issue. One of the few games I play is Minecraft, and because it is coded in Java, it can run on all platforms.

i have downloaded apache POI zip in my machine.and i extracted location where i am using this class in my java program.

I just installed Fedora 17. I'm setting up the Android Build Environment and need Java.

I downloaded and installed jdk-6u32-linux-amd64.rpm I ran

java -version

and it spit out the correct version.

Well a day or two later i tried my first compile in Fedora 17 and it complained about java and failed.

I want to play this java simulation: http://www.compadre.org/OSP/items/detail.cfm?ID=9640 in java 3d mode on a linux (ubuntu) system. But it doesn't work.

If I switch to java 3d-mode it complains that java 3d is not installed. sudo aptitude install libjava3d-java didn't help.

Then I did a right click in this java app and selected Diagnostics-> About Java 3D.

Hello, i cannot play minecraft on my 12.10 ubuntu. when i try to open the game i get the error: no JVM could be found on your system. But when i open termial and type:

java -version

it comes up:

Does anyone use SAP at home? I work in a company that uses SAP, somtimes i need to connect to SAP from home. I have SAPgui with saprouter on Windows but i wants to do this from Fedora. I have already installed JAVA SUN and SAPgui for JAVA but when i want to connect to SAP i get:
