http://forums.opensuse.org – Hi, all. I'm trying to set muse or Rosegarden to work with jack on my hp pavilion dv5 with Intel sound card(ATI Azalia Intel HDA), but I have not succeeded to produce any sound of them. hello,

i dont get this effect work ( all other effects work fine ) nivida driver is installed.

I'm installing Ubuntu 9.10 from CD, but the installation dies on second step and it doesn't continue.

Yesterday I ran an update on my Acer Aspire One, which I operate under Fedora11. Umongst the updates was also an update for Qjackctl and the jack audio connection kit.

I'm having no sound at all on my laptop ( a medion akoya ). I've tried many different tutorials/possible solutions, none worked..

Some more information: command aplay -l gives: aplay -l aplay: device_list:217: no soundcards found...

so that seems bad, but lspci lists a soundcard, this one:

MUSE, Rosegarden, etc no sound 19 weeks 6 days ago

This is silly. Absolutely silly.

I can play music thro audacity, musescore, rhythmbox. But I get no sound from Rosegarden or Muse.

OK, I tried some mutation of jackd, timidity. It does not work. Everytime I install a ubuntu on a new system, I forget what I did to get alsa to work.

Come on people, when I run a sound editing software on Windows, they simply start working.

Just a short Tutorial today. It’s surprising how many people do not know this. To change the hostname under Linux, open a terminal window. Type the following code. sudo nano /etc/hosts and change the text to your new hostname. Changes will take effect on Restart.
