Hi guys, I was trying to format my USB flashdrive but something went wrong, now the drive's LED keeps on blinking and it won't show up in my desktop, and trying a manual mount says:mount: no medium found on /dev/sdbBUT, lsusb does show the drive, so its not dead!
Fedora 17 GNOME is installed on my Asus 1015PX netbook. Today, my flashdrive started autorunning when I inserted it into an USB port. GNOME ceased asking if I want to open the flashdrive. The flashdrive automatically opens.
I fear a rootkit infected my flashdrive. Anyone know of a live CD with clamtk with GUI I can boot to to scan my flashdrive? Parted Magic CD has clam but without a GUI.

I am using a PowerMac G5 running Fedora 12. No media mounts automatically.
When i restart to fedora, the media left in the super drive does not mount.
Media in the super drive will boot (live cd) at open firmware option 'o'.

I'm new to these forums, as well as Linux, but hopefully you guys can help me. I've been considering erasing Windows off my hard disk to gain some space, but until then, I want to know that I can do everything I'll want to do.
I've followed many tutorials and threads on the internet, but they never work for me.
