What as happened:
- PC running Win 8.1 (ran chkdsk and antivirus), iTunes and iPad fully updated.
Connected ipad and tried to sync, BSOD on pc, ipad still accessible.
- Ran PC repair from Win install disk and was successful - reconnected ipad and tried to sync, BSOD again, ipad still ok.
- Wiped PC drive and did a complete install of Win 8.1 and itunes, returned ipad to factory specs, reinstall
