http://www.talkandroid.com – My title was actually a little sarcastic because I’m not sure if this is really news, but AsiaE is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S III has begun testing with carriers in Korea. Everyone knows when it comes to mobile phones, they test them for many months before they’re released. We already know a Galaxy S III is coming so this is far from a shocker. According to AsiaE, they are a little impatient as they want things to go a little faster. Unfortunately, the fact that it has a quad-core processor and LTE will only slow things down. We previously wrote that Samsung was creating a “special” Galaxy S III for their home country of Korea.

A minor iteration of Samsung’s flagship smartphone will soon be making its way to Australian carriers Telstra and Optus with 4G LTE in tow. Dubbed the Galaxy S III 4G, it will be the first LTE-version of the device to launch outside of Korea with the company’s very own quad-core Exynos processor on board.

When Samsung revealed the original Galaxy Note last year, consumers were undecided as to whether or not it was a viable option for the everyday smartphone owner. And, while that question may still not be answered, we’ve witnessed the device’s success first-hand. Regardless, Samsung introduced its successor last month in Berlin at IFA 2012, and the device packs quite the punch.

We’re only a few days away from Unpacked and the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100). We are expecting it to sport a 5.5-inch display and a quad-core processor.  A newspaper in Seoul confirmed that the Note 2 will indeed have a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED display and a 1.4GHz quad core Exynos 4412 processor. What about the camera?

It seems Samsung hasn’t forgotten about its Galaxy S II users just yet. Today, Samsung Korea posted details to its website regarding an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S II (it seems to be for the Korean version only for now, but that means the international update should be just around the corner).

Nokia and Motorola had their day in the device spotlight yesterday, and today it Amazon’s turn, with Apple’s next week.

Asiae is reporting Samsung will bring a 4.99-inch Full HD AMOLED Display to CES in January 2013. The rumored device is said to have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and massive pixel density around 441 PPI (pixels per inch).  Contrast that with the iPhone’s retina display which boasts a PPI of 326.

Last year Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note at the IFA Conference in Berlin, and in the “no shocker” rumor of the day, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Note 2 during this year’s conference.

We finally got some official news surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2‘s availability, and whether or not it will come equipped with a dual-core or quad-core processor. When we first heard about the new slate from Samsung we couldn’t help but think that is wasn’t a very big improvement over the original Galaxy Tab 10.1, sporting only a 1GHz dual-core processor.
