When I game in Windows, I use MotionInJoy to emulate a 360 controller using my PS3 controller via bluetooth. All is well, at least, when the game has native controller support.
If I'm playing a game through Wine that has native 360 support, it generally doesn't recognize any part of the PS3 controller.
I think I screwed something up in a HID library when trying to install a PS3 controller not long ago, as the PS3 controller never worked right, and now when I try to connect an Xbox 360 controller, the mouse cursor jumps to the top-left corner of the screen and neither it nor the keyboard will respond.
any idea what I ought to purge to fix this? thanks!

Hi, got my OTG cable today and tried plugging in my wired xbox controller. The lights flash on it but its not recognising any button presses. Anyone know if it works?
if not would a cheap USB controller work?
Anyone with emulator experience?
I am on XBMCUbuntu and the wireless xbox controller seems to work fine out of the box but I have to press the back button on the controller to activate which is fine.
What I would like to do is to enable the guide button on the xbox controller to exit the emulator so I do not need the keyboard.
Here's a flashable zip that will enable you to use an XBox 360 Wireless Controller to play GTA3, Vice City, and any other games that support USB Controllers(hopefully). You will also need an OTG Cable and an XBox 360 Wireless Controller Receiver, like this one.
Currently I am an IT student, and I want to make a game as my semestral work. I want to make a Geometry Wars clone purely in C (cause we are bound to C, ergo no C++/C#, only C and OpenGL), and when it will be done, I want to publish that as open-source game for Linux/Mac/PC. I want to ask, how can I use Xbox360 controller (wired) as gaming input device?
Hi everyone. I'm looking for controller for Optimus 4X HD to play games like Shadowgun, Sonic 4 or GTA III (I never played this game) on my HD TV. To be honest, I'm fan of Xbox 360 controller, so maybe you know similar design controllers, which would work on mine 4X HD?
Is it possible get a xbox 360 controller working with DOOM 3 under Linux? I know that under windows you can use something like xpadder to get it to work with DOOM 3. What alternative is there under Linux?
