I recently got a laptop. It has an i7 processor and 8gb of ram, it runs very well. I haven't had any issues running any programs/ with GNOME 3.8 until I started using the search. EVERYTHING but search runs very smoothly in GNOME, but the second I press the super key and type something it will hang for a maximum of ten seconds.
