I did some research online looking for a way to create an alias email address using cPanel. Meaning, an address that is different, but that will send all messages to a different email address I selected on that domain.
I saw several posts about using a forward, but it does not seem like a "real" alias.

I have had some trouble with getting cron to send emails. My ISP requires that the "From:" field match the email address the email is being sent from, otherwise the email is rejected. As cron hardcodes the "From:" field to "root (Cron Daemon)", these emails are not being sent.
I have set up msmtp and can send emails with no problem from the command line.

I'm trying to locate an email account, which is auto forwarding to a third party email address, on a Mac Mail server. I have checked Workgroup Manager and check each accounts mail settings but I can't find any account which has the email address or is forwarded to the third party address.
Typically I wake up in the morning with an email about cron upcp running overnight. This morning I didn't get an email and my server was not offline. I went into WHM (which typically sends me emails on login but doesn't do that either) and there was nothing in the mail queue. I haven't changed any settings in my email or WHM.
