i am using ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 updated regularly.
i have a Acer H274HL (1920x1080 DVI cable) and a small Viewsonic VG150 (1024x768 VGA cable). i also have the GeForce GT430 video card and i am using proprietary drivers and they are up to date.
i have the big Acer hooked up and then i hot plug the small Viewsonic. the Acer turns off and the Viewsonic is now displaying my desktop.
Finally, I got Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope working on my machine with Nvidia card 7300 Gt and Samsung Widescreen monitor Synchmaster 920NW.
Currently i am running Xp on my dell dimension 9200 ive got an issue with updateing the driver for my GEFORCE 7300 le graphics card.

I have an ASUS N56VM-TB71 with a GeForce 630M graphics card.
I have 12.04 and when I VGA plugged in a Dell monitor, I am able to use it.
I have a secondary monitor connected to my Acer Aspire 8930 laptop. Graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT (1GB).
My setup worked fine in all previous carnations of Ubuntu; I installed the recommended Nvidia driver via "Additional drivers" and was able to connect and use the Samsung monitor through HDMI output.
The upgrade to 12.04 (64 bit) has rendered this impossible.
I installed compiz fusion with the 1 button install from opensuse.org and enabled the options to rotate the cube but I am having no luck getting the cube to rotate. I have 4 desktops enabled through compiz manager as well.
My machine is a Dell Dimension E521 with Nvidea GeForce 7300 LE
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
