I have a custom built Windows gaming PC, we are using the Sapphire Radeon r9 gfx card and when we attempt to connect to monitor (or rather, HDMI TV) it does not connect, for a second it appears that it will then the "no signal" screen appears on the TV. I recently installed ubuntu 13.10 and am having trouble with no sound output. This was never an issue with 11, which was the last one I used. I am using an HDMI cable for video and audio this time rather than the vga and I'm not sure if that is an issue or not.
I have installed Netflix Desktop on my htpc with ppa:ehoover/compholio. Sound works with pc speakers plugged into sound jack but not with hdmi. I need it to work with hdmi and I cant see anyone else with the sound issue.
I have also installed it on another PC with a different video and I have the same issue.
I have HDMI working almost perfectly except one issue.In order to get it working this much I use the command:xrandr --output HDMI-0 --autoNow, the screen size of my laptop also gets adjusted when I do this. I no longer can see where my task bar anywhere.The size on the tv is much better but it's still off a little bit.I'm not even sure where to begin to fix this.
Here is my issue, I have an ATI Radeon 5850 Video Card. I want to run three monitors, Currently I have tried using two DVI ports plus the Display Port (DP) with an HDMI adapter. The adapter is a Rocketfish RF-DP49402. I have tried ever possible combination to get this to work.
