http://forums.cpanel.net – Hi, I have installed cpanel + whm on my vps. I have attempted to install cPanel a number of times, each on a fresh copy of CentOS 6. However i have an issue when i try to access the WHM panel. Quote: Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection. the address is: 173.236.6.222. I have raised the issue with my provider and they got back to me saying the install did not complete and so the re-initiated the install on a fresh copy of CentOS 6. Due to the vps being unmanaged they can only assist me so far before leaving it in my hand (HowTos)

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum, also I don't know much about the Cpanel Installation and configuration.

I'm installing cpanel on one of our client VPS server ( Cent OS 6 64 bit ), Earlier there was Plesk panel on the server. And there was some issue on the server configuration, we rebuilt the server and now we are installing the cpanel on our server.

I am trying to setup my first cPanel install on a CentOS 6.3 Hyper-V virtual server, and trying to follow best practice during the install.

When installing CentOS 6.3, I selected the minimal install in the setup wizard (using the standard DVD ISO not the minimal ISO version).

I have installed Cpanel on a CentOS by these commands :

cd /home wget -N http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest sh latest /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

After that i lose GUI of CentOS , then i go to webpage of Cpanel but my root password doesn't work ether and then i have check the ssh connection to that server , after entering the root password i get : Access Denied . I stuck , Please Help . Thanks .

While trying to access the WHM panel, I am getting the following error. Up on checking the server via ssh and I have notified that the disk usage is 100%. I have freed disk space and tried to start the cPanel service but it ends with error also I am not able to run the /scripts/up --force. It end with Perl error and /scripts/chkperlmodules is missing in the server.

I'm currently battling with the configuration of WHM and cPanel on our local campus server.

The IP on which cPanel is to be installed is an internal IP. However, we need the installation to resolve to an external IP for the purposes of using cPanel to host our Moodle installation.

Fresh install of centos 6.1 desktop and just installed cpanel/whm and no more gui login fields?What can I do?Thanks all [by addam]
