Welcome to Club#!, monica! Have a drink on us.Like you, I started with Linux on a netbook; in my case, it was a Dell netbook that came with "Dellbuntu", which I tired of quickly. I tried a few of the earlier "netbook remixes" before I found CrunchBang, and have been happily using it since the days when it was based on Ubuntu 9.04.
... no, not Ellison. I'm not really new to the Linux world, but I feel like one. I had a post ready to go a few hours ago, and just when I was ready to hit send, something in this screen blew it away. I thought it must have been posted w/o my action, but haven't seen it displayed here. So... here's my second attempt.
I have a couple of issues, but apparently this insn't the right forum.
Neither "top" nor "htop" are showing output for multiple CPUs on two of my #! Statler r20111125 installs (32-bit with backports).top shows one line of CPU usage on a dual core and on a quad core. Pressing '1' to show individual CPUs just shows "cpu0".htop also only shows one CPU line and it's supposed to show each CPU as a separate line by default.
