I am facing a strange issue. Yesterday, I powered off my Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server by mistake. Since then networking is not working. The interface which was in use was configured as eth1 but now it doesn't show any ethernet devices when I do ifconfig -a. It just shows loopback and virbr0 interfaces, no ethernet interfaces.
I have been using ccm for some time and it's pretty awesome tool to test out admin stuff. Now, I really want to test modeling data by trying to access ccm running cassandra using Thrift based pycassaShell client from remote hosts (not locally).
I have problem in my Ethernet after upgrade kernel to Quasar8000 184.108.40.206-67.eeepc.fc11.
I can not connect to the Internet or open any site with the knowledge that everything is working well and the Ethernet adapter see the connection.
the output for ifconfig is:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:23:54:81:6D:33
