I have a lot of image or photos and most of them are in its original conditions. I want to create something different to my collection. Here I will show you how to create a nice and interesting 3D image from ordinary photos.
Okay, before anyone gets too upset about this new thread, don't worry, later tonight (16th) I'll ask it to be merged into the main thread, but I just HAD to tell folks about this new experimental sourcery rom that will likely become the next release really soon.
The entire experience feels zippy to me.... tight and clean, which is different for me.
I switched to JB Sourcery a few months ago, mostly to get away from the reboot issues. While they have been reduced (most of the time) the reboots often result in a bootloop where it will reboot 3-4 times before deciding to work. I've wiped and reinstalled a few times but always the same result.
I have installed xcp-xapi on my Dom0 server. When I tried to create a VM, I found there are no options for me to create a PV VM based on existed kernel, initrd image and qcow2 disk image!
Anyone can tell me how to create a PV VM via Xen API? In xl, I can easily create a config file and invoke xl create to create such a VM.
I thought I would share my findings on how to change the alarm tone in Sourcery. I don't know if it is common to other roms since I haven't tested it, but I hope this may help.
Background: I moved to version 455 and 456 and lost the ability to change the alarm tone. I did a lot of research to figure out what was going on and why the tone selection option wasn't visible.
There are many image editor for Linux on the net. This time I will introduce the XPaint Image Editor for Linux. This simple editor is an easy to use editor for Linux that currently support many standard paint formats like XBM, PPM, TIFF and many more.
Is it possible to create a hardware virtual machine (HVM) AMI from an existing paravirtual (PV) AMI.
My initially thought was to start a new PV instance and use the ec2-create-image command to create a new image while specifying HVM as the virutalization type. However, ec2-create-image does not have a command line parameter to specify the virtualization type.
I want to create an image of some directory tree that is writable directly to an USB drive, just like the images of many linux distributions.
