I'm new to the whole Android thing but I used to install lots of roms on my trusty old Windows Mobile devices over the years. I remember then that trying out different roms sometimes meant things would stop working.
Here's my problem. I have a Nexus 7 and it works fine on stock unrooted 4.1.2. I think. I've used the Nexus Root Toolkit to (very easily) unlock and root it.
hi all
i am new here and a complete noob when it comes to android and rooting etc.
i will be purchasing a nexus 7 today and i would like to root it. as i have done with other devices, i have done a little research into hacking the device. but this time, i am a bit confused as to what guide to follow for the nexus 7, as there are a few that are in the sticky section of this forum.
Android represented a whopping 46.4 percent of global smartphone shipments in Q2 2011, with 34 percent of Android's total coming from Samsung, putting it a close second behind Apple, says ABI Research. The research firm also released a teardown analysis of the HTC Sensation and its highly integrated smartphone processor -- the dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260....
Rooted and unlocked moto electrify.
i have been flashing roms on several phones for many years. i always rely on the devs here at xda to help me through and you guys never fail!!!
my electrify is unlocked and rooted, been running th3bills cm10 for several weeks, also tried miui aokp and others.
I have just rooted my nexus 7 and have been dabbling in custom Roms just a bit. I've tried out Glazed Jelly bean and the latest Paranoid Android. Both great, but paranoid needs some work.
Anyone wanna list some other interesting Roms? I would prefer they be as stable as possible.
I flashed Wicked Sensation rom via QBKINGS 77 vids on youtube, worked like a charm. New to android, new to rooting, new to flashing roms. followed Guyphs guide to root BOOST mobile SGS2 EPIC TOUCH, followed QBKING77 vid for flashing roms to EPIC TOUCH and BAM, IM loving my SGS2.
I'm running a Linux Mint 12 virtual machine in Virtualbox. I would like to move it into a dual-boot setup with my Windows 7 installation. I have lot of settings in there, and apps installed, and my research says that I cannot just copy files.
I guess I could accomplish this by having some kind of list that I could then import for apt-get to install, and then have a back-up of my ~/ files...
Well for most of you, you already have your nexus 10. Was wondering how you like them so far? Stock or rooted? Roms that you use? Mine will be here tomorrow and I'm kinda looking for ideas, sense I'm new to android but read up on rooting, should i keep it stock for a while or shall i root it when i get it? Does it void your warranty? Thanks in advance.
Okay I'm new to the sg3 forums. I just switched to Verizon from Sprint and a epic 4G touch. I just couldn't take not having 4G where I live when Verizon has it here and my speed test was about 33mbps the other day on 4G :)... Anyway I was running paranoid android on my epic so that's what I'm currently running on my sg3. What roms are most running and which do you guys prefer?
