I am setting up DNS server as well so I am going to need public IP. One provider told me that they can provide me public IP if I use static IP.Thank you for the input. [by shuhei]
Within the next week or so, I'll be setting up an AT&T U-verse modem with 5 usable static public IP addresses. I plan to register a domain name pointing at 1 of the 5 static IPs, and run a website from a single server setup in my home LAN.
I need to point subdomains like es.domain.com to /public/www/index.php
The problem is my host does NOT provide me to set a path, I can only set up the subdomains for "local use", which creates the folders in the public directory
I have a client that has registered their domain through a registrar, then signed up for hosting on through a different provider, but used the same domain for said provider (didn't re-register the domain, I think the declaration of domain on the host was for CNAME records specifically).
