I am a relatively new Xubuntu 11.10 user. I have an HP Pavilion dv6 (dv6z-6c00). I had no trouble connecting to WiFi network or internet until I moved 2 days ago and Comcast provided a new modem (Arris TG862). Trying to connect to the internet via Linksys WRT120N router.
I had issues connecting but thought it was because it was a new house and signal was weak in my bedroom.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit desktop version and connecting to the Internet by a wire connection. I use firefox as my main browser but tried other browsers as well but they all seem to load whenever they want.
Here is my problem -
I have a HTML page (page 1) which connects to another HTML page (page 2) in an iFrame. However this loading is done, say a minute after the page load completes.
ie. page 1 -> wait 60 seconds -> open page 2 in iframe within page 1.
However when this load occurs, the browser throws an alert that network is not connected.
I recently installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my Sony Vaio CR120E. I've been able to connect to the wireless internet at my school fine, but when I came home this weekend, my computer has been having issues connecting to my home router. I can connect to the router, but the internet is on and off. Sometimes the internet works (very slowly), but most of the time it doesn't work.
Hi,
I have 2 HTC One XL (Telstra) devices and I seem to have found that after installing Google+ I seem to have internet connectivity issues, either the Data is always "turning on" but never getting there.
It also seems to impact on wifi also.
Anyone else see these tupes of issues?
I'm runny cm7 rom and it will connect to the internet but then when I try to load any site on any browser it says its loading but will never actually load the site.

I am creating one application in android in which internet connectivity is checked. i want to display a toast message when internet connection is very slow. or when the server is not responds to request at that time i want to put a toast like "Connection is slow !!!" .
Is there an app that can check internet connectivity when connected to wifi and give an icon in the notification status bar if internet connectivity is lost?
Almost everything I've seen gives notification on wifi connectivity, but does not give notification on no or limited internet access.
So I've been having a lot of issues with my internet connection since installing 12.04. This is happening on both of my laptops that run this version. My mac has no issues although I did just notice one page that took a while to load. Which brings me to the question. What tools should I get and how would I go about testing whether the issue is at the wireless or the actual internet.
