I have a simple one today, I've been using transmission for a couple months now and since the beginning I noticed that if I open transmission, NOTHING else works.. well, I'm talking about internet, not even typing google.com at browser.
I tried setting up the upload limit to 5kbps and download to 20kbps..
Connection to Internet stops when connected to wired Internet using network manager.
Ubuntu 12.04.
I'm using F17 x64
Whenever I try to download using a torrent with the Transmission program,
after a while I lose my internet connection until I reboot.
Everything else works ok, but Linux (F17) is no good to me if I cant transfer files
using torrents.
I dont want to go back to Windows, but I dont know how to solve this problem.
Thanks for any help,

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 way long back back .
Hello world,
I'm experiencing a problem where (usually) a few minutes after booting and logging in to Ubuntu, my internet connection is lost. Or perhaps not "lost", but tabs in Firefox keeps loading, so I don't get an error message but nothing happens. Spotify runs fine btw.
For some reason I've gotten this feeling that it's not a problem with Firefox, but something in Ubuntu.
I got my Starling System 76 netbook today. Started it up and had good luck with my wifi. I saw that updates were available and I did them. They took about 14 minutes and I don't believe I did upgrade to 9.10 Karmic. I am still at 9.04 Jaunty.
I just built my desktop, and connected it to the internet wirelessly shortly afterwards. I have a wireless PCI-E adapter in my motherboard. After a random amount of time(5-30 minutes), the internet stops loading. At the top corner, it still says I am connected to the internet. After clicking that icon, disconnecting, and then reconnecting once again, this same process begins again.
I am connecting to a non-secured wireless network, and the connection is fine, yet when I open my internet browser the pages will not load. It is as if there is no internet connection.
The internet connection was working perfectly fine a week ago.
thanks
I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 two days ago. I have a dell Studio XPS 1645. I changed my internet to WPA2 yesterday, and it connected and worked fine. I turned it off and when I turned it back on today it finds the connection, does the connecting thing (where the picture goes around) then says it is disconnected as if I lost connection.
