I'm having only one ethernet port in the server in my lab and server has to be setup for two networks. One network is for thin clients and the other for Internet. The thin clients gateway is 192.168.0.1 and Internet gateway is 192.168.1.1. Right now, I've setup two wired connections, one for Internet access and other for Thin clients. But only one can be used at once, not both.
I'm trying to setup a Ubuntu 12.04 IPSec/L2TP VPN server and have gotten caught in a snag. The LAN that I want to have access to through the VPN is in one subnet and I have NO access to any of the firewalls or even a public IP. I am trying to circumvent this by adding a second NIC. The second NIC is directly connected to the internet with a public and static IP address.
I have looking through tutorials for setting up Icecast2 server and ices2 on Ubuntu. Unfortunately all of these are based on LAN. I want to set up a Icecast server on a ubuntu machine which will be connected 24/7 to the Internet. The clients need to access the streams, the server provides from across the globe. Assuming the server has a static IP, how do i configure Icecast?
