I have a problem getting my webcam to work. It works neither no cheese nor with skype. This is on linux-mint 14 Nadia, almost-fresh install.

I'm trying to stream a video to http with vlc on my headless Ubuntu Server box.
In Unix/Linux you can use pipes to write output and error streams to a file. One can even write them to the same file. Is there a way to write both to the file but maintaining the order.

Hi!If I use skype for video chat, it's working for a while, but after some time the whole system freeze. This happens if I try to set up my camera in skype moe than one time (for example after the time I open the preferences and video devices again).
