Internal memory (/sdcard) damaged!

http://www.mobileread.com – Hiya, My PE was synchonizing some files from the internal memory /sdcard wirelessly to dropbox when suddently it run out of battery and it turned itself off. When I turn it back on I received the messages: * Preparing /sdcard * /sdcard damaged I've tried resetting the device but still same problem. The PE settings display: * Data storage device => Internal Storage * Internal Storage => Total & Available Space => Unavailable Any clue what could I try next? I'm running a rooted 2.2 android build. I have a SD card installed in my i9500. As you know, i9500 has 16GB built-in RAM, and I found that /sdcard (also /mnt/sdcard) is mounted to internal storage(seems /storage/sdcard0), external SD card is located in /storage/extSdCard ( /mnt/sdcard mounted to here). But some old apps don't support customizing download destination, and most downloaded files went to the internal storage.

Hi, I have a weird problem with my S2 running samsung stock ICS 4.0.3. i have been using sgs2 for over a year now and whenever my free internal storage goes below 2.5GB i move the apps to SD card. But now No. of apps in SDcard has hit the Android limit so i simply delete the Apps. But off late that is not freeing up my internal memory.

The device which I am working doesn't have a external sdcard support so we have internal sdcard of 2GB which is a nand flash partition.

Is it possible to rename the internal memory from sdcard? I want the sd card to be named sdcard so that apps where it is just default to save on sdcard (and you can't change it) to go on the actual sd card and not internal memory. Thanks.

I've been having troubles with my external SdCard (sandisk ultra 32gb class 10). My phone mounts the internal sdcard also as external...

I have to go to storage -> unmount external sdcard and mount it again, to become available for my phone. It get's reset by every reboot.

I'm running foxhound 0.7 Anyone knows what happening?

I might have played with fire, and now I have lost access to the internal sdcard of my Galayx S2 (GT-I9100).

I run a CM9 nightly build (2012-08-06) and decided to encrypt my phone using the built-in Android encryption feature. Everything went well.

But then I tried update my S2 with a new CM9 Nightly.

I am trying to mount sdcard/0, which is my internal sd card. I am using a CM10 rom and realized that /sdcard is now /storage/sdcard0 in jelly bean. I am the only one on the CM10 fourm who can't mount his/hers. When I go to settings-storage-usb storage, I click "mount sd card" and the phone freezes, then it says calculating and it disappears.

Since coming off a cm7 rom, doing all the wipes, fastboot ones too and going back to stock bell 2.3.6 I have a sdcard and sdcard-ext in root internal and a sdcard and sdcard-ext in /mnt. Whatever i install gets placed in both locations is there a way to fix this? If i delete files from the sdcard in root it delelets the same file in /mnt/sdcard.... :confused:

Former rooted og evo and evo 3d. New to samsung. So im curious as to y on the evos the Media and most everything was stored on the sd card.. now on my sgs3. Its all on the internal memory. I have a 32gb sdcard in it but But everything seems to stay on the internal storage.. is the external good gor anything anymore or just good for storing music, pics, movies ect. Ect.. thanks for the insight...
