I am having a trouble with wireless connection on my Thinkpad X201 laptop. I installed CentOs 6.5 Minimal. The Wired (cable) internet works perfect. But wireless is not detected.
I looked at following links but doesn't help me.
Oh man, I just had this issue a couple of days back.Something's bugged about the RTL8185 drivers in the kernel (no, you shouldn't have to install anything extra, just modprobe it). Check out the Wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_SetupTry following the instructions there (use rtl8180; the drivers for rtl8180 and 8185 are merged).
I'm new to linux so forgive me if this is redundant or unclear. I just finished installing ubuntu (14.04); however, when I try to connect to a wireless network via settings or the top menum I am not seeing a wireless connection option at all. Before installing ubuntu originally, I used the "Try ubuntu without installing" option. I quickly noticed the same problem.
