Installing Ubuntu 1[02].04 with SAN too slow because it detects disks several times [closed]

http://stackoverflow.com – Whenever I install Ubuntu (10.04 or 12.04, 64bits) in a blade center with a DS400 SAN the process is painful. The installer sees the disks in the array several times (since there's no multipath configured yet). This makes the installation process excessively slow. It spend hours detecting the disks or writing the boot loader. It's so slow that it takes more than a a work day. Is there a way to accelerate the installation process? Maybe to tell it to ignore disks above sdb? Thanks in advance. (HowTos)
