That does not change the fact that there is a bug in all kernels older than 2.6.32-358.6.2 that allows unprivileged users instant access to a root command shell. You need to upgrade ASAP. [by TrevorH]
I have here some old applications and modules which ones only run on older linux kernels. I need an ubuntu with kernel < 2.6.31
I tought there are two options:
1.) Download 8.04/8.10 - there is an older kernel but I cannot use apt-get anymore to get stuff :/ I says its not supported
2.) Using 11.10 and change the kernel. But thats the question how? Is it even possible?
Hi,I ran over this thread searching for solution of the same problem. The only thing we have in common is the kernel version. I don't even use ARCH. I don't get these disconnects with older kernels. Maybe it is a coincidence in your case and it does not have anything to do with SystemD.
Hi guys, our teacher, who is an employee at Texas instruments, teaches us c shell scripting but for the really old version of csh which is present in red hat linux 5. This is what is used at his work place. I do not want to install red hat 5 all over again as I already have RHEL 7 Workstation installed. I noticed some differences in syntax/operations with older and newer version of csh.
