Ubuntu Software Center is so sl-o-o-o-o-w... Seriously, I can launch a virtual machine with some Windows apps faster than it takes Software Center to load!
I dislike Software Center so much I installed Synaptic ages ago, and that loads in 2 seconds! Perfect. Well almost - I can't seem to open downloaded .debs with it. Can I change things so that Synaptic opens .debs by default?

But the problem is it looks like it only returns 580 apps.

I've been trying to reinstall all my purchased apps on a new machine, and I ran into a problem. Because of the size of them (about 10-12GB in total) and the fact that downloading them is painfully slow for whatever reason (at most 800kB/s), it takes a lot of time (not to mention USC crashing).

How do I different apps and install them on my Computer without using the software center
For the last few weeks, I have had some connectivity troubles with my Samsung Stratosphere. It seems that my Facebook and Wikipedia apps won't connect to the internet. As if this isn't strange enough, I can't even access these sites through my mobile browser! This happens when on Wi-Fi and when I am on 3g/4g connections.
So I have been running Ubuntu for a long time and I fell in love with Plex, I seen Fedora has a Plex on the Plex.com but since I have been use to running Ubuntu I am use to it installing a icon in my apps. I noticed Fedora runs it differently so I was wondering how do I launch it from the command line.
