Installing PHP MCrypt + library (libmcrypt) on CentOS 5 server...help please

http://serverfault.com – I'm trying to install mCrypt for PHP on my server, and before that I've found that I need to install libmcrypt as well... I cannot find any instructions via google that actually work for this, can somebody please let me know how to do this? I originally just tried yum install php-mcrypt but I get No package php-mcrypt available. - so I assume it's because I didn't install libmcrypt yet... Thanks! Web Server Can't Load Mcrypt 2 years 48 weeks ago

I have a CentOS 5 server running Apache & PHP. When I load 'Phpmyadmin' on the server it worked fine however there is a message at the bottom of the screen that says:

I already have got rpmforge, there is a libmcrypt, but no php-mcrypt for C6. Any ideas phpmyadmin is always complaining about it.Thanks! [by 105547111]

I got a clean installation of CentOs 6.3, with php 5.3.18. I tried installing the epel-release-6-7.noarch.rpm and epel-release-6-7.noarch.rpm in order to run "yum install php-mcrypt". However it cannot find the package. Also tried "yum install php53-mcrypt" but no luck. Can Anyone point me on the right direction?

I believed I've downloaded and updated the EPEL rpm but I can't install php-pecl-memcached.. I'm very new to this, any help is appreciated.
