Hi team, as you see, I´m new here, I´m thinking to install ubuntu 12 in my laptop, I´m now running win 7.
I have the disk encrypted, and I don´t want to have problems with the current info that I have, and well, just asking:
1_ I was reading about some issues installing Ubuntu with win 7, can I install it from live USB and have a multiple boot (I will erase the WIN 7 partition after have the UBU
Attached USB adaptor, ran ndiswrapper and installed the OEM driver from the disk. Instantly attached to my WIFI network. Running Ubuntu 9.10 Gave it a 4 only because it requires ndiswrapper to work.

I have a Ubuntu box and a damn small linux laptop,I have installed ndiswrapper on Ubuntu by using apt-get.And I wanna install ndiswrapper on my laptop too,but it doesn't have a network adapter(so it can't connect to the internet).
Then I copied /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper and /etc/ndiswrapper to my laptop,when I ran ndiswrapper on my laptop,following error message appeared:

I'm trying to install ubuntu near windows but when i start the installation i can't go on because it doesn't find room on the hard disk.
When i run the installation, from both the cd or USB stick, Ubuntu checks if there's the internet connection and if there's enough room on the hard disk.
I’ve just created a new Ubuntu Live USB using the Ubuntu StartUp Disk Creator. And now I am running Ubuntu 11.04 from my USB Flash disk without problem. But, everytime I boot my computer with the flash disk containing Ubuntu 11.04, the welcome screen appears and asking where I choose to install or keep trying [...]
I know how to install a live ubuntu on a USB flashdrive using various tools in windows and ubuntu.
However i want to install a live version of ubuntu on the internal hdd of my laptop, which is a ssd.
Any way to do this?
I've been wanting to switch to Ubuntu for a while but I've had to run a dual-boot config because I had to install my wifi-card on Windows in order to get internet on Linux. I've read on some threads about Ndiswrapper but I'm still kind of skeptical. I have some questions about it:

After downloading and installing the Ubuntu live CD, I learned that truecrypt doesnt support full disk encryption on linux.

I have just fitted a new hard drive and i tried to install ubuntu on to it, but the computer does not see the the ubuntu install disk at all.
