Installing ndiswrapper tools without ubuntu live cd / network issue

http://askubuntu.com – I'm pretty new to ubuntu and would like to install a wifi dongle. To do this I need ndiswrapper. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to download and install the tools without having an ubuntu installation disk. I installed ubuntu using a usb flash drive rather than a disk so I don't own a live cd. How can I install these tools without having the disk? I do have internet through cabled network. The main problem is that my built in wifi card is a lot less powerful when I boot ubuntu (the range is about 1 meter) while I have full connection on the windows side of my computer. I have a Ubuntu box and a damn small linux laptop,I have installed ndiswrapper on Ubuntu by using apt-get.And I wanna install ndiswrapper on my laptop too,but it doesn't have a network adapter(so it can't connect to the internet).

I'm trying to install ubuntu near windows but when i start the installation i can't go on because it doesn't find room on the hard disk.

When i run the installation, from both the cd or USB stick, Ubuntu checks if there's the internet connection and if there's enough room on the hard disk.

I know how to install a live ubuntu on a USB flashdrive using various tools in windows and ubuntu.

However i want to install a live version of ubuntu on the internal hdd of my laptop, which is a ssd.

Any way to do this?

I've been wanting to switch to Ubuntu for a while but I've had to run a dual-boot config because I had to install my wifi-card on Windows in order to get internet on Linux. I've read on some threads about Ndiswrapper but I'm still kind of skeptical. I have some questions about it: 1. Will it work with any Windows driver? Hi im trying to install ubuntu 12.04 with full hard disk encryption. After downloading and installing the Ubuntu live CD, I learned that truecrypt doesnt support full disk encryption on linux.
