I have a Windows 7 host machine running VirtualBox (v4.122) and a guest VM of Kubuntu 12.04 running Apache2.
I can access the Apache server from the host machine but it will only load the default Apache welcome page and is ignoring all of my virtual hosts.
Some more details about the configuration:
The Kubuntu VM has several virtual hosts that all work fine when accessed via a web browser insi
I have virtualbox 4.1 on a ubuntu 12.04 host. On my host I have a virtual interface eth0:1 configurend as 10.0.1.1. I have a few virtual machines using bridged adapters, configured in the 10.0.1.0 net which I can reach (ping, ssh, ...) from my host via the virtual interface.
Now I installed an ubuntu server 12.04 in a virtual box, again using bridged adapter, but I can not reach that host.
Good day,
I have installed ubuntu 12.04 with xfce environment on this toshiba l300 with intel mobile 4 integrated graphics.
with windows and without drivers, the fan is always on and the video performance is poor.
Main (Host) machine under Windows 7 / 64. - Internet with static IP.
virtual machine - VirtualBox 4.1.8 for Windows hosts.
Guest - virtual machine under Ubuntu 10.04.
How to open access from the Internet to guest virtual machine?
Really need help.
Thank you.
Ubuntu on Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23
I am new to Ubuntu and was given a Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23 that I was hoping to use Ubuntu on. I installed 10.10 but wifi, the integrated intel graphics, and the SD card reader don't seem to work.
First I need to get wifi working; from looking around the forums I tried booting from a livecd, but no wifi card seen.
I have virtualbox installed on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (host) with ubuntu 10.04 LTS as a VM (guest). The VM has guest additions installed.
I'd like to be able to reliably use alt-tab to switch windows within the guest, at least when I am in full-screen mode.
Do you have a Toshiba Satellite L40 notebook? If so, you may need this latest driver for your Toshiba Satellite L40. This is the Windows 7 diver for L40 series you can download for free.
OSX is my host OS
I have windows xp and Ubuntu 10.10 on guest OS. They both work great.
When I eject USB flash drive from host OS, it appears in windows guest OS
but it does not appear in Ubuntu Guest OS.
I never run both guest OS at the same time. its always either or.
I am running, VM virtualbox 4.1.10 and installed latest guest additions and also installed VM virtualbox extension pack.
I am having a really nasty problem with VirtualBox as everytime I try to install any guest OS(using ISO file as CD for installation media), the installation starts normally but as soon as it is about to start either installing to virtual hard drive or loading(e.g. as LiveFS) it causes the host system to reboot abruptly.
