Installing custom ROM on new HTC one V (purchased on black friday)

http://forums.androidcentral.com – So I have unlocked, rooted and installed CWM recovery on my HTC one V(purchased few days back) as of now. Everything seems fine up to now. However reading other threads, I have realized that people have been having trouble installing new ROMS using CWM recovery on the new version of the HTC one V. Has anybody successfully managed to install custom ROMS on the latest HTC one V's from Virgin Mobile? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm so close yet far away. Thanks in advance (HowTos)

Background: I am still on ICS 4.0.4 rooted and unlocked (atleast ez unlock says im unlocked and i have superuser and voodoo says im still rooted) .

However, when I try to flash a custom recovery , ROM manager gets stuck at 100 % and closes. I have also tried installing a custom recovery via EZ recovery, and it says its flashed.

So I've found this forum pretty intimidating because certain roms require certain kernels and the root method for my phone didn't supply such kernel.

So this is my phone: Build FI27. Rooted. Custom Agat Recovery.

What I'd like to know: Safest recovery for flashing most roms. What roms am I able to flash with this recovery.

i am new to this so if you can bare with me. I recently Unlocked and rooted my G2 and i also installed a custom recovery (ClockworkMod). I have been trying to install a custom but have been having problems with this. what happens is i use recovery to install rom from sdcard and it looks like it installs, i mean it says it is successful but when i reboot it gets stuck on HTC boot screen.

i have a wildifre s Rooted, bootloader unlocked and S-ON. i tried to install many ROMS but none ther than EQDKP sense 3.5 and wildchild ROMS worked for me.

Hi guys, I unlocked the bootloader with HtcDev and I installed the latest recovery. I didn't install any roms.(i have a weird feeling that this is important) After reading that official JB is coming this month I decided to give up installing a custom rom for the time being. How can I return everything to stock so that I can install the official JB when it arrives?

This is CWM Recovery v6.0.1.2 It needs some testing and some feedback. I haven't tested every new option yet but the basics seem to work fine. I factory reset and installed 3 ROMs with no problems: Sharp Ver8, My GB ROM, and CM10. I have also restored some very old backups of CM7 and froyo. Let me know how it goes.

I recently wiped my whole Nexus 7, everything on it is now gone. I have Bootloader 4.18 and CWM Recovery 6.0.2.3, it's rooted, unlocked and has the CWM custom recovery.

I've got my hands on a new one x, now I've unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM recovery and its all rooted, I've done all the usual with wiping everything, but it keeps coming up with installation aborted, can anyone shed some light on this one for me, now I'm used to doing custom roms on my gnex and I really can't see where I'm going wrong :confused:
