Hi,
I've had Fedora 15 up and running on my system for a whlie using the Nvidia drivers from RPMFusion.
Now I have wiped the system and re-installed with the updated Fedora 17, totally clean install.
In order to install the Nvidia drivers I followed this guide (the official Fedora Nvidia howto?):
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=204752
And then subsiquently ran:
After several failed attempts to install nvidia hardware drivers that resulted in an unusable system, I've been wondering if there is an easy way to get back the system without having to reinstall entirely?
Just finished wiping and re-installing F12 From a DVD on an Dell Inspiron 9300 with a NV 6800. The NVidia site driver refused to install. so i used the method documented here
I am running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy), with an NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS video card. The system worked fine until I recently did an update, using the update manager. When I restarted the system, it went into low graphic mode and I could not re-establish the NVIDIA card. I booted up in 640x480 mode (which I am still in) and have attempted to fix the situation but to no avail.
Hi!
I'm really newbie in Fedora (i just change this weekend) and I hope you can help me. I have google a bit (if a bit is more than 5 hours XD) but I couldn't find a solution that works for me.
I installed OpenSuse Gnome version 64 bit on a HP laptop DV7 Intel Dual Core with nVidia 9600 GM card
All went well, until after I had installed the nVidia drivers from this page: NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE
hi I was followingthis guide "F16,F15 & F14 Nvidia driver guides http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=204752"and now i cant get gnome 3 to load it constantly enters fallback mode and this is my output for
rpm -qa *\nvidia\* *\kernel\*|sort;uname -r;lsmod |grep -e nvidia -e nouveau;cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
abrt-addon-kerneloops-2.0.7-3.fc16.x86_64
