Hey there folks,
My ATI driver install worked fine for me until this latest kernel update out now.
I'm noticing what I would expect as " kmod-catalyst-3.6.3-1.fc17 " (x86_64) missing on my file lists.
My lastest installed version on this pattern is " kmod-catalyst-3.6.2-4.fc17 " and I'm sticking with it for the moment.
Any word on that?
Appreciated.
Regards,
Hey.
Not necessarily a hardware problem, but. I installed the AMD 6*** drivers (Catalyst CC).
It had some problem that said it the kernel headers isn't installed, after that I installed them. Ran the installer again, it complained about them not being installed again, I just installed it with the --force (Ignores all errors and such).
I installed fedora 17 and everything was working well until trying to install the catalyst drivers installed them using this guide: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=155503
Now I boot into a black screen. I did boot into text mode and run at configuration - initial. No errors were reported. I rebooted and still had a black screen.
My card is the hd 6950.
Are there any instructions on how to install legacy catalyst from rpmfusion? I got no pointers - neither here https://ask.fedoraproject.org/questi...e-to-get-it-to nor here https://ask.fedoraproject.org/questi...k-on-fedora-17
Currently it failed at the very beginning.
While trying to get a game to work I tried installing the AMD Catalyst driver on my Fedora 17 laptop (I did this through the "additional hardware" option in my menu, if that matters), now whenever I boot into Fedora it just freezes at this text style loading bar.
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what method I'd use to install the beta of Catalyst 12.11 on Fedora 17? The kmod appears to be in the testing repo of rpmfusion for Fedora 18, is it possible to use them? Or is there another way to use a package, or would I need to install with the ATI binary? Or is the whole thing a bad idea?
Hi guys
I need quick help! I installed the ATI Driver Package following this guide:
http://gofedora.com/how-to-install-a...ers-fedora-11/
Ok I have Fedora 12 right now, and I've come to the conclusion that the ATI catalyst drivers version 9.11 aren't going to work at all on that system, so I was going to downgrade to fedora 10 and install 9.8 or so on it.
But what I was wondering is if I install Fedora 10 and then upgrade the kernel will that make the ATI drivers not work? Do I need to turn automatic updates off?
I can not install fglrx ATI drivers/Catalyst 12.8.
